A major part of repairing a PSU is taking it out and putting it back in a computer.

Btw, a technique I've used for years to strip small wires in order to splice is using a Bic lighter to melt the insulation in order to pull it off. The advantage is it doesn't cut or nick any threads in a wire the way a stripper can.

Congratulations! -- Josh

I was looking at another PSU today and it has a 120mm fan vs the 140mm fan of the first PSU I checked.

Of course the screws holes to mount to the case were the same, but the footprint of the PSU with the 120mm fan is slightly smaller.

I was really surprised the external dimensions were different.
