I just get back from AZ and find nothing new. I was hoping I would be surprised at the gap up. : )
Well its off to the Monster Truck Show. Maybe the sound will drown out the bad thoughts.

Utility Belt for $ 9.99 in new Tiger catalog, a $20.00 rebate from SYCR and a $40.00 rebate from Tiger. How long has this been going on? I might just get Utility Belt at this price, it says "limited time only" in the Tiger catalog. I wonder how many people will buy and never send to SYCR for the 20.0 rebate, I like that.

Sockets, most people will have no problem dropping a coupon in the mail so revenues of, say, 12 bucks per box is wildly optimistic. The packing does not come free and there are, what, at least 4 CDs in that package? What about the other products in that package? How are they going to pay them whatever the agreement called for without taking a loss on each sale? I have to say that the Utility Belt was an interesting strategy: use well-known products to leverage the sale of your own. If you can get a company to go along with it (wave $$$) and it works, it's a good idea. Unforunately, it's not selling or they would not be dumping the product for 10 bucks. I can't imagine how that $10 is going to pay for the production costs and license fees from McAfee, Microhelp and IMSI. I think they were fortunate to get those companies permission to do a bundle but it has apparently backfired. Even if they don't end up in the red on each sale, it will take a lot of sales just to keep the Syncronys supply closet stocked with pencils.

Sockets, I am sure you would view $3.00 as dream come true; however, the same can be said of $1.50 when you are sitting at .75 cents.
