I would imagine that the shares owned by Waite, See and any of the other management, would be covered in the terms of the sale of the company. Generally the buyers take control of most or all of the shares at a specified price offering. I suppose there is the possibility that new owners would want the current management to stay on and let them keep some amount of shares, but generally the previous shares are converted to those of the new company, at some specified trade rate (i.e. 3:1, 4:1, etc.).
