For the sake of calculating the conventional wisdom of the masses, I guess it makes sense for this poll to count the above 3000 as 3100... so, right now we have 5 votes, e.g., 2600, 2700, 2800, and two at 3100...
Total weighted value of 14300, then divided by the 5 votes = 2860... this should be interesting as this poll gains momentum...
With a total of 46 votes in the poll posted here on December 31st, choosing where you thought the top of the rally may occur, the SP futures closed at 2505.25, the poll showed the average top price was to occur at 2773.91... this was SP 268.66 points above the market at the time!!!
If yesterday was the rally top at 2763.00, then the average poll price only missed by 10.91 points since the poll average was at 2773.91...
If yesterday was the top, at least near term for a meaningful correction, then this is truly amazing and shows once again the wisdom of the masses...
Of course, this is presuming yesterday was the top, if it's not then, well, we'll keep monitoring...
