It's always good to be skeptical and challenge the ideas of others: friends, family, anonymous chat participants, and especially wall street analysts (encumbered by all sorts of conflicts of interest).

In terms of PSFT as an investment, I would encourage you to ease up on the psychological analysis. Instead of asking "is everyone on board?", you might want to ask "will Peoplesoft continue to grow revenues and earnings commensurate with the current expectations implied by the stock price and p.e. ratio?".

As long as PSFT continues to meet or exceed expectations, the stock price will continue to rise.

Take it from someone who acknowledged 10 years ago that "Microsoft is a great company, but it seems a little ahead of itself and has a high pe. This has been my opinion of Microsoft forever, and to this day I have not owned stock in the company, much to the detriment of my portfolio returns. Of course, Microsoft is in a class by itself in terms of recent returns and market domination, but the basic principle is that great companies with great prospects demand a high price (pe ratio).

Peoplesoft is a great company with great prospects !

Cheers.
