Well jim I have a little to drink but something came to me as i was cogitating...hope I can elucidate

as it pertains to this:

" Accordingly wouldn't an index, as it rises or falls outside those positions "nearest the
current number" become "the points outside of the current index trading points, they
are more correctly priced, they are overvalued and arent manipulated"?

using Electrics premise and the data he provided...

only deep in the money calls have this characteristic so it is only going to go one way....so that 950 in his example at some point would become overvalued..so not only does it gain the -2.5 but then it would gain the overvalue premium as well...so why wouldnt this be the one to do

oops here is an edit....

and if it falls and thus becomes like the 960's are now....not only do they lose their overvalue but the become undervalued...
double strip if the market falls...

" If you had trouble with the syntax it isn't my fault. Here's my follow on."

ditto

"In other words, if the manipulation theory is correct, the bad guys try to take your
money at strike price contracts closest to the current index price... wherever it is
trading. "

no using E. numbers it is at the money or out of the money but not deep in the money

I like the graph idea...sure would be nice to predict...now tell us how to do it "easily"....I suck at that kind of stuff. I am still having a hard time understanding Electrics concept because if you take your idea of moving it along then the 950's have to sort of have a double move in value with one movement in the index...one to make up for undervalued and one to become overvalued.

can you understand what I am getting at even though the thought is not flowing smoothly?

EOM- well maybe
(told you it was maybe)

Hey electricalcentricalcentricities....lets test your theory...maybe it will help up with all this jacking around that these M.F do with my option premium...

I liked the man with no name's idea...have to cogitate on that one...
