This comment is at best a distortion of reality, some less generous soul would call it a falsehood. We live in a democratic country and as citizens we elect a government to represent us, we may not agree with all their actions and that is why we have free elections. No minority is better protected in Canada than the english minority in Quebec. Manitoba still disobeys a Supreme Court ruling requiring them to translate their laws. Ontario, for a long time resisted in implanting french schools even though the number of french speaking students warranted it. "Well the facts are it is 90% an English colony" Wrong get your facts right, remember 1867 and 1982. By the way Canadians who can trace their ancestry to England and France are a minority in Canada. So as an italian-canadian I have no attachment to either the english or french language, I speak both because that corresponds to the reality of my country and my province. "The french here have had it uncommonly good. They just want it all and the easy life too. Too bad they won't get it. It's high time they grew up. They can brainwash people and cleverly take the high moral ground and steal all the money too (Campeau, Desmarais) but it wears thin." In this utterly false comment you are lumping all french speaking Canadians together and you attribute to them negative values and also some crimes (only in your imagination or as a court agreed with you?). This seems like a racist comment to me. BTW, the only thing french about Desmarais is his name. Well Mr. Charters going back to your first sentence, I certainly do have a right to call you a racist,your words have given me that right. I apologize to the other people on this thread and I will let you return to discussing mining a subject you are better versed in. Norman Damiani
