*OT* yeah, I got cremated on a couple of "rumor" deals last year. I made a firm policy that I will NEVER NEVER again play a rumor.. What I was good at last year was finding deals that looked great on paper, (Peter Lynch style) and then going with my TA filters on entry and exit. The biggest winners were COMS, CHPS, SDTI and INTC. I coulda retired on JBIL last summer, I had a buddy that cleaned house big time, but I couldn't get into "chasing" it. :o( I got SMASHED on 3 rumor deals. Screw the rumors, and screw the guys that start 'em. I use Comstock and Townsend Analytics for short term, and I pay real close attention to a couple of day traders that work in the same building I'm in. So far this year, my BEST source for info has been ""Mr. G." the computer guru that fixes all the stuff on two floors where I work. He knows nothing about stocks, and he know a lot about computers. If he doesn't like the gear, I won't touch the stock. If he likes it, I check it out. So far, so good.
