Don,

Yeah that is what I meant about the other indexes, Kevin and I were looking at indexes that might be comperable to the OEX and couldnt find any that met the criterion of interest, content (stocks that make the index up etc). I want to trade indexes as well, but I wont touch such a mess that the SPX and OEX are, I hate manipulation and I have a hard time holding until the position moves out of range for manipulation.

What I meant for market flow is enough action going on to create open intrest and active trading. Many times we would look at an index that looked hopeful and notice that it goes untraded which of course makes it not worth getting into.

So do you know fo any indexes that have the components of the OEX, SPX and trade frequently enough to be worth getting into?

Again thanks for the read on HMTT, I appreciate it.
Could you tell me about VVUS? I CC'd it and it got called from me, I like it alot, it seems to have positive movement and I want to get in again this month..

Thanks I value your insight.

E

Don, I have been following your index information here and on the Strictly Drilling thread. I was wondering, when you place orders to buy or sell an index option do you you use market orders or limit orders and how many contracts are you buying or selling on average. If you could share your strategies about market orders vs. limit orders I would really appreciate it. By the way, I noticed that if someone had bought the at the money (90) OSX jan. calls on Monday when you issued your class 1 Buy on the OSX they were selling on monday for around $1 and could have been sold Thursday for $9 and change. very impressive gain. Thanks in advance and welcome to the drilling board.
EOM Richard.
