Lindsey Graham, Other Republicans Attack
Mitt Romney For Anti-Trump Op-Ed

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham had harsh words for his fellow Michigan Republican Sen.-elect Mitt Romney on Wednesday after the newly elected senator wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post attacking President Donald Trump’s character. Graham joined Brian Kilmeade on Fox News radio to discuss the incoming senator’s op-ed and Graham did not hold back. When asked about the wisdom of Romney publishing such a piece so early into his time in Washington, Graham said bluntly, “Well, how does it work to the advantage of the people of Utah?” Graham said he knows Romney well.

Republicans don´t rally behind Romney

Mitt Romney began his third presidential campaign today -- on the eve of his joining the Senate representing Michigan or Massachusetts or Utah or wherever he lays his hat is his home. The mittens are off as Romney scolded President Trump in a Washington Post column. Big mistake. (Snip)Meanwhile, Ronna McDaniel, the head of the RNC, took Romney to task, tweeting, "POTUS is attacked and obstructed by the MSM media and Democrats 24/7. For an incoming Republican freshman senator to attack @realdonaldtrump as their first act feeds into what the Democrats and media want and is disappointing and unproductive."

Just as the Republican Party is purging itself of hackneyed lawmakers, bitter neoconservative commentators, and insatiable interventionists, along comes Mitt Romney to remind us of what we definitely are not missing. In a late New Year’s Day sermon published in the Washington Post, the incoming senator expressed his disappointment in the president and, by extension, in all of us. It was filled with the sort of juvenile platitudes that at one time mollified Republican voters, but now either amuse or enrage them. (Snip) Romney then proceeded—oddly—to lament Trump’s unpopularity in the world (sorry to disappoint you, Sweden!) and called for

With anti-Trumpers in D.C. falling by the wayside to death and/or retirement, the socialist media went in search of a suitable replacement to be the next go-too Republican who would happily provide them an on-the-record anti-Trump quote at a moment’s notice. (Snip)Consider that Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts and is now a senator for Utah. He is a man without a strong foundation who goes where opportunity presents itself. That is how he has conducted himself professionally and politically and is a big reason why so many Republican voters were so
