Actually the stock did have what could qualify as a January bounce. From the December low of $1.00 it went as high as $1.375 before stalling at the first and lightest resistance. Not much of a bounce, but 37 1/2% qualifies. On a higher priced stock it would seem more significant.

January bounces often don't begin until later in the month. Can't rule out a more substantial one here, although the failure to rally on (more) takeover rumors isn't a good sign.
