The Steel Industry Article...

All:

Here is the text of the positive Steel Ind. article for those that haven't seen it...
.......................................
NEW YORK, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Wall Street may begin to look to out-of-favor steel stocks for bargains in 1998, as most of the big U.S. steel producers have cleaned up their act in recent years, according to a Barron's article.

Shunned recently, except by short-sellers, many publicly traded steel makers have gone south in the mid-1990's, a period in which the Dow Jones Steel Industry has fallen 28 percent, while the S&P 500 has more than doubled, Barron's said.

However, Wall Street bulls are beginning to surface, arguing that continued strong demand for steel, lower costs and imports that fall short of expectations could lead to sharply higher industry earnings this year and in 1999.

AK Steel Holding Corp <AKS.N>, Bethlehem Steel Corp <BS.N> and Inland Steel Industries Inc <IAD.N> are among analysts' favorites, according to the article.
