To those with a cinematic frame of mind it recalled The Godfather’s baptism of fire sequence depicting Michael Corleone relentlessly eliminating rivals for his family’s control of American organized crime. As is now traditional when an opposition party seizes control of the House of Representatives, the Democrats promptly shut down the federal government.

For those who want to donate - or add more to their donations, I always keep a handy-dandy link in the Thread Header.

The donations hovered around $200,000 per day during the holidays, but as of yesterday, went up to about $300,000.

Most of them are small now, ranging from $5 to $100. At the beginning there were a lot of huge donations.
