I'm pretty much aiming at the same barbell strategy. Dividend on one side and vanguard growth funds on the other. A couple of trade/hunch plays in the middle to keep me interested(g), GVA and added KBR this morning. These 2 seemed to bottom (I hope) earlier than the overall markets.

Not sure what to make of the "quietness" here on SI. Thought I saw some tumbleweed blow by(g).
After a couple of years I threw in the towel on XLF yesterday.
Currently 11% in cash and looking for opportunity.
