The late and unlamented Z. Bhutto, Prime Minister of Paksitan during the 1960's was responsible almost singlehandedly for the seperation of BanglaDesh( formerly East Pakistan) from Pakistan. The war that ensued claimed thousands(?), hundreds of thousands of lives(?) has been mostly forgotten but it paid handsome, if temporary, benefits to Bhutto. He was hanged for murdering a Lahori political opponent by his (Bhutto's) chief of staff.

President Zia, formerly Bhutto's Chief of Staff, himself died in a airplane crash that is still largely unexplained.
