Numbers:
From J Urol 1988 Dec;140(6):1415-1416

1mg/ml phentolamine
1 ml injection intracavernous (pennis)

Even (!) if you do not consider organ-specific efect of injection.

1mg of phentolamine
5 liters of blood

Calculation of final concentration:
Remember:
1mg=1000 mkg
1mkg=1000 ng

1000mkg/5000ml=0.2 mkg/ml=200ng/ml

Final concentration:
200 ng/ml
"With phentolamine alone 1 patiemt (7 per cent) reached full erection. "

From asensio.com
"Regular phentolamine reached a maximum blood concentration of 33 ng/ml in 30 minutes. Vasomax claims a level of 16.7 ng/ml in 30 minutes."

Take the largest number (even):
33 ng/ml
Compare with
200 ng/ml
which was not effective.

Remeber: site of injection was not considered yet.

Disclaimer :
All data are complete responsibility of authors.
It would be nice to see any original data about phentolamine level.
My calculations may contain mistakes. DO YOUR OWN.

Correction: previously I posted 0.5 ml of phentolamine injection. 0.5 ml was really used in combination with papaverine. When phentolamine was tested alone, 1 ml was used.

Good night.

Quick Forecast of future postings here:

News: ZONA granted Patent.
Wexler Reply: Yeah...but it will be challenged. The Patent Office
made a mistake.

News: ZONA files NDA for Vasomax.
Wexler Reply: Big deal. It'll never be approved.

News: FDA approves Vasomax.
Wexler Reply: So what. It'll never sell.

All of the above just my opinion.
