Fred, I agree with you. I have had nothing but excellent service from Datek. Sure, there have been a few rare glitches, but that has to be expected from time to time in this new ether medium. In my experience, every one in which I have been involved has been fixed quickly and correctly, by very pleasant, professional staff.

The most recent glitch occurred when a cheque of mine went astray -- after informing me that it could not be found and that I may want to stop payment, Datek then found the cheque and immediately called to tell me.

Great service, and I am very satisfied.

datek has been a great service to me. But I do like to see the following improvement.

1. a kill button along with each position in the porfolio page.
Once hit, a market order will be placed to sell/cover the position.
And a kill button to sell all positions.
2. faster execution at open and close.
3. more trading options: all or none, fill or kill etc. There have
been many times that I tried to buy 1000 shares and only get 50
shares.
4. option trading.
5. touch tone phone service possibly at higher commission rate (say
$15 per trade)
