I find it very hard to believe that a 100% Self Driving vehicle will be a REALITY for ALL concerned on the EXISTING public roadways .... For one thing, at the end of the day, who will be held LIABLE for the death of someone where a Driverless vehicle is involved ? ... Will it be the Designer/Manufacturer of the driverless vehicle with it Proprietary Software, etc..,? Or will it be the owner of the vehicle who may not have even have been in the vehicle at the time of the fatality, because he/she directed the vehicle to come to him/her from some distance away ??
