Jane, you are in rare "form" tonight.
I have learned that:
a) you don't weigh 250 lbs
b) you are not a feminist
c) you are a well-informed historian
d) you did well to survive the Catholic school you attended
e) you don't care for little fat Buddas
f) your love for Alan & Nancy is steadfast and sure
g) your distrust of anything Emile-like is ongoing
h) your challenging of Chris' defense of Bakker is scintillating
i) your distrust of Paul's writings as used/interpreted by some is
understandable (my son had a Prof in a Christian College that got
him to also turn off on Paul) an aside---"nicht gut"
j) enjoy God, enjoy John, enjoy St. Francis, Enjoy Bro. Lawrance, enjoy Paul
k) let the joy of the Lord be your strength

Oh, our Jane is in rare form tonight
She must be under the influence of Sprite
She has some some suspicion
About the inquisition
And of those that are not yet contrite

Have one sensationally splendid unsuperficial LORD'S day

Jane, I have no defense. God has put a love in my heart for His chosen people and a desire to see all of His promises fulfilled to them.

1 Cor. 1:
19 " For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

May God be praised,
James
