I suppose time-travel is a common-enough fantasy that movies naturally try to explore. When I was a kid, and even after, I would daydream about what it would be like to transport back to a different time and place with what I knew from this century and take along modern devices.

We had a discussion on the thread some time ago about what was considered the best Star Trek episode which had the characters going back to the Depression era, written by Harlan Ellison.

The first couple seasons of Outlander were pretty good.
