... thank you for the reminder. you are right, i tend to and generally prefer to give doubts the benefit or the other way around, benefit to doubts

yes, the person on the street likely simply doing gut-check, as opposed to the cerebral lot in tanks and think tanks. the germans had a few run-ins against the russians. divining that should there be another run-in, the russians patience may fail the testing.

i figure the world is now searching for examples, and so ...

- india tried w/ removing large denomination cash
- georgia (republic) tested some moves
- ukraines attempted whatever
- usa trying boots in m.east
- china dipping toes in s.china sea

generally testing, experimentation, and such are preferable to all-in / full-on / go go go
