What is "proactive" other than a politically correct word? If the introduction of Darwin is not, then what is? These other companies are trying to meet Sun on prices. No real practical competion right now rpt right now on performance. Future is Suns. IBM is the only real future competitor IMO so have picked up a bit of IBM to go with major Sun (held for several years now and will keep until fundamentals change - may happen someday). Think IBM is more important in the pervasiveness of Java - unstoppable - than even Sun itself. The Sun has risen and will continue to rise almost (not quite as often probably) as that huge namesake in space. IMO. Disclaimers, etc. Chaz
