You misunderstood; he calls CO2 carbonic acid. It's not H2CO3, the chemical we call carbonic acid. However, when CO2 dissolves in the ocean, some of it becomes H2CO3, or H+ and HCO3 -. Ocean acidification goes along with AGW.
