2016 presidential per pew research:

trump voters were--

53% of those ages 65 and over
49% white college graduates (clinton was 45%)
53% of men
52% of non-college graduates
43% of college graduates
42% of women

the story-telling that trump's voting base is "angry poor men" appears to be a fallacy.
instead, it appears as though trump was elected by older men and women, lots of
college graduates (men and women), especially white college graduates (men and
women), and nearly half of all women.
