Mark, I haven't been doing that much reading,as I am working about 60 hours a week right now.
Antec was interestingabout a year ago, with their cornerstone telephony system. They are not making a good profit, and have since run into hard times. They have taken TCI on as a supplier, but they are the ones who are footing the bill. Its a desperate ploy,in my opinion,by the both of them.
TCI hurt HLIT last year, and when talking to them about TCI,all I get is frustration from them. TCI seems to keep on changing their plans, looking for an easier and less expensive way out of the bandwidth morass, other than fully upgrading to 750 MHZ.
Sooner or later TCI will have to upgrade,as they are being attacked in most of their major markets by competitors, either local utilities,or companies such as 21st Century in Chicago. We cannot afford to wait for bandwidth, and they cannot afford to not upgrade.
I don't know what fate awaits TCI,but I hope HLIT gets one of these contracts.
