If the S&P decisively takes out the 2600 level, 2800 will come shortly thereafter. Bear markets destroy bulls and bears alike, as the countertrend rallies can be devastating to the bears.
I have always viewed the stock market as a trade, some trades are held longer than others. In essence, I am just renting my positions. I do have short term biases, but long term is a joke.
As for my current view, I am leaning bullish ( and am long modestly) waiting for the market to show its hand.
As for the possible Trump impeachment, I think the market would welcome it after an initial jolt lower. Wall Street has no use for Trump anymore; they got their handout ( tax cut) and don't like his trade policy or tariffs.
As to whether Trump should be impeached or not, this thread is not the place for me to pontificate my political views.
