Re -- California managers are now in complete control of FAB25.

This does not increase the chances of success, rather lessens it. The issues are different in manufacturing than R&D. Furthermore, 3 months ago when AMD realized that their yields were in the dumps they didn't try everything that their best could offer (including the SDC manager?).

The environment, the equipment (some of it .35u equipment) and the staff are different. Just changing a few at the top does not change a thing in the short term (3-6 months time frame).

Yup, things will proceed the same. I suspect there will be a few .25u K6's produced this Q, Jerry will declare that they were ahead since they did not think that any would be produced and in the next Q, every thing will collapse.
