The more I read about these new applications, re; <<<<(Hughes DSS) system providing programming and internet download? Looks like a "one dish" solution>>>>, the more I see the Futuretrak satellite space scanner and their patented flat array antenna providing the solutions to the growing needs of these satellite providers.

I was in Las Vegas for the CES show and Futuretrak was extremely busy and it looked to me as though they were selling a ton of those space scanners right there on the floor.

I was not given a clear answer to the questions posed by this thread a week or so ago. Apparently they cannot comment directly at this time, but I am more confident in their ability to become a required accessory to all DISH users, and all DBS vendors as a whole.

Also, the ability to receive internet transmissions is apparently one of the features of this new antenna/scanner set up.

I have used the DIRECPC unit for some time. It is generally fast and generally reliable.

The Direct Duo is kind of a scam. Sure it uses one dish, but that dish has two separate electronics packages on it. And you need a separate DIRECPC card and DSS receiver. In other words, it is marketing.

In fact, the premise that the direct duo is built around is that even at 18", consumers don't want more than one dish. I hope they're wrong...
