No fly zone
or
Off to Exuma

We planned a trip awhile ago and one of the conditions was requested by my wife who insisted that we avoid the US completely. I had to plan a trip that had no US stopovers, not easy when coming from western Canada where most international flights go to Denver, Houston or Chicago. I used Airmiles for a flight to Toronto and planned a two day stopover to visit relatives, why not, we are there. Then we fly out of Toronto to Nassau, then on to Exuma. This was much more expensive but in retrospect it was a good plan.

On the bright side, all Americans are suffering equally regardless of which political party they call home. It underscores the problems with a two party system. When a swamp creature from the Black Lagoon shows up and takes over one party, there is no where to hide and nowhere to run. I imagine it won't end well and that takes very little imaginative energy. Here in Canada almost every political theater, provincial and federal , has a reasonable third choice.

Just did a R/T from HI to the Bay area. Shortest, fastest TSA lines I can ever remember. In fact, there was no line in either direction. We walked right through the cattle chutes up to the agent checking boarding passes by the Xray.
