Mohan,

A very interesting report from Bear Stearns on the Asian crisis and its implications for the world's economy. Thanks for posting this. Where and when did Bear Stearns publish the report?

They paint a rather gloomy picture for the immediate future, but say that the US is in pretty good shape:

balanced budget, and an efficient economy.........


I wonder just how good the US position is, and if they mean only relatively speaking. Also do they think our position is at all fragile, considering the generally downbeat message of their report.

I'd appreciate your comments on it. Also any others on the thread, as you asked for with the original post.
