I have not researched the subject, I just noticed I could not find any of Ayn Rand's works in UK Libraries. I also watched this. Brooksley Born is one of my heroines. Very few males seem to be in the category. Bill Black is in a minority. Ayn Rand figures in the story. pbs.org The problem in this case was not really Ayn Rand's Philosophy, but some guys who very much believed in a financial institution protected and enforced by government, but whose leaders and managers were not governed by any rules, so they "liked" Ayn Rand's ideas. It is a invitation for a really big disaster to happen. The Soviets learned the hard way not to make the military too big, or let corruption run amok, or the economy gets sucked dry which has consequences. One hopes the lesson doesn't fall on deaf ears to the other students in the class.
