BUDAPEST, Jan 18 (AFP) - A first "cemetery" for tamagochi, the Japanese electronic pets, opened on Saturday at Dunaszekcsoe in southern Hungary, the national television reported.

A good dozen "dead" tamagochi were buried in a wall installed specially for the purpose by a private businessman.

The cheapest "funeral" for a tamagochi costs 500 forints (2.5 dollars) but some people were prepared to pay several thousand forints, the report said.

I just couldn't resist posting this!
