Gene,

I do not deny the importance of these reports, especially when the results can have an exaggerated effect in a skittish environement like the one we are now in. But AMAT is the bellweather of the sector and if NVLS or KLAC misses, the sector will probably fall, but the net effect could be obviated by a good report from AMAT mgt. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that yes, they're important in the short-term, but I and most others who invest in this sector, probably really want to hear what AMAT has to say.

regards,

Brian

BTW, I hope that the CC playback can be heard this time by all. Last time Encore really botched it up. Did anyone actually hear the entire call on the 20th?
