Sammy, The answer to your question depends on the terms of the trust. In a "true" trust, the beneficiary doesn't control the asset or decision making with respect to it. On the other hand, in a "bare" trust, the trustee does as he is told. Such a "trust" is more in the nature of an agency, and some would argue not a trust at all. So, in the classic legal tradition, the answer to your question is...it depends!
