your not just kidding about this thread.. Does anyone own FORE any longer??? Im probably going to sell before earnings release. Just not worth the risk. If the numbers meet/exceed, I dont see much upside in the immediate future so I can always jump back in for a buck or two more. If the numbers are poor, you know how the stock would react than...

off topic: denni, I am flattered that anyone would ask MY favorite stocks. I do not give specific investment advice to family and friends, because when they go south, as they all do, hard feelings occur, even though they are not deserved. Also, whenever I suggest a stock, that is a sure way to make the stock go down!<g>

That said, my favorite without question is Ascend. Fundamentally and technically it is ready to break out. I own Cisco, but short term I would wait for a pull back. Lucent is a big buy. I plan to buy Intel, but I think it will pull back more. Same with Microsoft. Looking for Wind River to pull back, then I will buy more. Qualcom is a buy. Bay is a buy. MRVC is a buy. Ancor is a very speculative buy.
Fore is a buy. Adaptec is a strong buy. Xilinx is a buy. Linear Technology is a buy. I am not into chip machinery, but Amat is probably a buy.

Enough? Do not take my advice! Make your own decisions based on your investigations!wj
