You mistake correlation with causation, because your education seems to be lacking. The best years in the US were when Americans were independent, creative, and hard working. The best years are behind us because most Americans want free shit from those of us who work for a living or have retired from a life time of working for a living. Snowflake, victim-mentality, lazy people who don't want to work is what is killing our culture and our economy.
