what effect do you see this having on the Petrodollar? Is it not true, that countries are exercising rights to accept payment in other currencies? As it is so, then what are the real ramifications. Does Nigeria want to build its Yuan reserves to facilitate its business with China? How about Russia? Clearly they have a self interest different from Nigeria. VW's recent decision to locate its electric vehicle plant in TN in conjunction with Ford, adds volumes of information to the petro dollar matrix, but are these new informations enough to tip any scale toward or away from the dollar? VW must not believe in the theory of the dollar in free fall, otherwise it would use its resources somewhere else. its production here will be paid for in dollars, VW is voting for dollars as payment in kind for its innovation. Energy self sufficiency has a long term impact on economy. Natural Gas is the foundation for the energy needed to fuel production at a lower cost. Many countries including China, will land production in USA, as a result of lower costs for energy. Automation, AI, are working to lower costs of labor, not in cost per person, but in fewer persons per cost. Alarm about the Petrodollar is not the whole story, free to choose self interest will increasingly manifest itself,, in all kinds of decisions about Energy as an holistic input to final production. So, at this stage....who knows.
