epicure, Children don't grow up hateful on their own (destructive, yes, annoying, yes, but not hateful)- they're little pitchers with big ears- it takes their parents to pour all that hate in. This parent, clearly, was doing her hate-FULL best- just like a Trump humper should. Pity the child of such a parent. Can you imagine priming your kid to be so spectacularly awful- and in public, and on social media? Hateful and stupid -not a good combo. You can see this picture turning up in a history book in 40 years... I was watching the local news this morning and saw a report that the kid had apologized but I haven't seen it said anywhere else. Still will be interesting to see how this plays out for the kid in the long haul. Maybe, with the camera turned back on himself, he can see how awful this whole thing looks. Then again, maybe not and, if he did apologize, maybe it wasn't sincere. Maybe it was because he saw how foolish he looked. If the kid and members of his "team" do community service on a reservation which would be the christian thing to do, I might believe they are remorseful. I agree that hateful and stupid is the worst combination. No matter how you try to educate someone, if they are hateful and stupid then they don't believe what you are telling them and they are a challenge to deal with.
