You blew this guy off in typical dogmatic fashion when he raised the question in the last paragraph of what dividend investment returns were like in the 2000-2002 and 2008-2009 bear markets.
I use the word dogmatic because the thought of a bear market wiping out high yield investors was a thought not even considered by you at the time as if it could never happen.
I did not think the guy came on the thread to insult anybody. He was just presenting a possibility that no one thought was possible and thus didn't want to confront. He was a madman like me, I suppose, because I think of such things.
