Thanks for the educational post, David. I, for one, am way to long on MTIC when considering how little I know about the industry. Are you looking for the news article that the actual C&L study from December covers, or the study itself? I have email pending at both C&L and MTIC in search of the actual study. The news article is at Yahoo, or mti.com, among other places.

Greg

David, other tid-bits in your post (redundancy and disaster recovery) are referred to here:

biz.yahoo.com

<< The [MTIC]Gladiator ESS-DT uses remote mirroring to ensure data availability even if a unit suffers a catastrophic disaster. MTI will now be able to display the RAB Gold Logo for Disaster Tolerant Disk System Plus. Today, only four companies have earned that right. They include MTI, EMC, Hitachi and Comparex. >>

<< The Gladiator ESS-DT is a multi-terabyte, multi-hosting storage system designed to appeal to customers who are continually stockpiling ever-larger amounts of data in mission-critical environments. The Gladiator ESS-DT offers the **highest redundancy** and the highest performance of any storage solution available in the industry today. >>

On-line backup, etc., for MTI are reported on here:

Thanks again, David. I am learning.
