David,
Unlike most other people on this thread, I don't mind seeing you post here. I wish you would present your case against CCSI longs a bit more intelligently instead of couching your responses in the form of insult or out of hand dismissals.
In response to your last post which fits the out of hand dismissal variety, I'd like to enlighten you a little.
Beauty industry- Suppose your hair is turning gray and you want to dye it to fit your natural color. If a beautician could immediately formulate a color to exactly match your natural color and could do it with CCSI's device, this device would sell easily.
Dentistry- My teeth aren't exactly pearl white, they are slightly off-white with grey tints. When I had a crown put in, my dentist spent 10 minutes analyzing a color chart to my teeth to get the closest match. If he had a CCSI type device to give him an instant color reading, he would have saved 10 minutes and I would have an exact scientific match. Say my dentist only does 15 crowns a month, 180 a year, he could save 30 hours a year. At what my dentist charges, he could easily afford such a devise.
Enviromental uses- I don't know what applications color matching would be useful here.
Other uses you have not dismissed-Many

Please temper your responses in the future. I have seen your postings on the Geron thread where I've been lurking the past week. I have notice one thing that Geron and SPRX have in common: Boehringer Mannheim. You seem to post opinions that favorable to this company. Are you some how affiliated with Boehringer?
