I prefer to reinvest them and make them compound, but we're getting close to when we must live off of them.

Fortunately, I found this thread , and the wisdom of the many contributors here who have reoriented my thinking.

My account has now passed a hallmark in my way of thinking. The dividends received annually now exceeds what our working income was, when we both worked by 30%.

I'm very confident in the dividend sustainability of my portfolio.

I hope to feel the joy of growing dividends.
