Terry, So much for my misquotation- the Dizzy Dean of the CREAF thread? Iraq would be "small potatoes" (Dan Quail-did I spell that right?)- except that Iraq still maintains the capacity to assemble nuclear weapons within a 9-11month period. Also they still have some pretty mean biological weapons too. That is why the UN sanctions remain in place as they would not hesitate to use them on Saudi Arabia and Israel IMO....

So the World needs to watch them closely and also Mohammar Ghadafy Duck, who is building a large underground chemical/biological weapons plant in Libya.

But Libya and Iraq are exceptions to world trends. Even the new Leader of Iran President Khatami realizes that isolationism means falling behind technologically and economically, and wants to nudge the clerics in Iran to allow Iran to rejoin the growing "global village".

Indeed because parts of that global village are doing OK economically right now, I believe that we will work out the problems in Asia....

If you do not believe that scenario, then you should not be in any stocks, because stocks are a financial "offensive weapon" period. Also note that being 100% in bonds is not necessarily safer than owning some stocks. That is because various classes of investment assets often move in inverse corolllation to each other...And I think that lots of tech small/mid-cap stocks are not too bad a place to be right now, like CREAF,as technically their chart patterns improve...

Sincerely,

Doug F.
