Someone *said* the story was pulled. MTI's web-site says it's temporarily unavailable. But it's not the *story* that's missing anyway, it's the actual C&L *study* from December that we can't find. Here's the story:

biz.yahoo.com

It's the study itself that is rumored to be under reconsideration by C&L. Rumor only. The reported "story" recarding C&L's reconsideration appears possibly fraudulent itself, in that it is a PRNewswire story that cannot be found on prnewswire.com.

The intrigue might be that Coopers & Lybrand (the consultancey side of the house) did the study which, in effect, finds MTI a better over-all storage solution compared to EMC. While Coopers & Lybrand's accounting side of the house are EMC's auditors. Bit of a conflict, maybe?

Is it just me, or is it laughable at this point? Regarless of the outcome, MTIC has a wonderful product in my opinion, which, thanks to experiences like this, is becoming more detailed. :-)

Hope that helps... and it's only my understanding.
