You seem to be saying you feel life was better when the UK was a major imperialist and your family was able to reap the fruits of that imperialism.

You aren't liking the world which has more fairly distributed the work and wealth among nations around the world.

Brexit or not, that's unlikely to change.

Personally I think it's clear that Brexit was a very badly thought through plan which is going to impose large costs on the citizens of the UK while providing very few benefits that I can foresee.

There will be a border between the UK and Ireland and Scotland will leave and join the EU if they have any sense. Less likely, but it would be sensible for Wales to leave and join the EU as well.

The London Estuary region will be a new nation on par with New Zealand. Banking will become less important and tourism more vital.
