Raven, let us look at the three elements, I presume these are MRI, MRI guided surgery and PPM. Am I correct? I agree with you that the two first are related, particulalrly that the second activity may allow FONR to establish itself as the leader in this segment (and thus buidl those distribution channels), but I do not see how the PPM play into this strategic goal. This is why I thought FONR should define itself as an "Imaging company" and stick to its knitting.

Now, if PPM was a small activity just to help FONR in testing the market for new products in imaging, or a set of tests site for various PMA approval processes, it would be a strategy I can understand (but not agree with). The fact that the PPM are a former family business lead me to think that the consolidation had to do more with interfamily relations and transaction than with a major guiding strategic goal. I would be extremely happy to learn otherwise.
