The AOL bandwidth crunch was because of narrow pipes (twisted copper), AOL's shortage of modem banks, etc. Don't think QWEST is going to be bandwith constrained. Fiber can carry mucho data. And Fiber capacity is being expanded at an amazing pace. Also plenty of space in air. But it is hard to think of abundance when current scarcity. Gilder may be right or wrong but if you are curious check out the Forbes ASAP supplements or his on line stuff through Forbes home page. Time will tell. Chaz
