Cheeky Kid,

You're right about notebook computers. and if I didn't spend so much money on cigarettes (and now maybe cinnamon sticks), I'd probably have three of 'em. Heck, I might even have a computer on which I can see my screen when in editing mode at SI and in E-mail and not have to re-edit so often. <vbg>

The weather in the San Francisco Bay area is pretty much like the weather in the rest of the country, in that it is hot in summer and cold in winter and we do have the changing of the seasons. What we don't have is snow, although it has snowed here on rare occasions. Thankfully, when it does snow, the snow doesn't stay on the ground for very long.

Storms named after women? Some raised that question a few years back and I believe storms entered into equal opportunity in the names they are given. Remember Hurricane Andrew? I think El Nino is masculine too. My knowledge of Spanish is limited, but if it were feminine wouldn't it be El Nina?

The storm seems to have subsided here some, but I'm still holding my breath and have one hand intermittently on The Big Red Switch. Don't want the chips to fry.

Holly (still on line, with status subject to sudden revision)
