Anyone care to hazard a guess how many posts we're going to see Monday asking why the market hasn't opened yet?

Reminds me of grade school. We had to wear uniforms, but had one free dress day each semester. On that day, some dork always showed up in his usual garb, destined to endure a day of merciless taunting from us in our Mork rainbow suspenders.

Yup, happy to. This is my opinion:
Analysts get paid to pick deals. If they are good, and I'm guessing that about half of them are, they can pick a good one about 3 out of 4 times, (same as me). One out of the 3 will go the wrong direction "just because". This leaves their winning percentage at 50%; (same as mine). It's a bit early to get into ASND based solely on fundamentals unless your, (your in the general sense), parameters are the same as mine, and most people's are not. When you are already in the deal right, every upgrade is another new guy that figured out "what you already knew", and people who don't agree with your stance are "morons", (or whatever). I believe that most potential investors in ASND are "watching it for a while". I'm tired of playing the momentum game; it worked great in 96 and 97 but I don't think this year is gonna be the same. If we don't have a major correction I'll be surprised, (and very pleased, since my opinion is we are in the middle of a consolidation).
I'm lookin' for real real cheap deals. With the market lookin' dicey, I'm thinkin' some of the big dough is playing a conservative game this year, and not lookin' to get into this POS that just got whacked from 80 to 23 . Two quarters from now, I believe ASND is gonna be kickin' some SERIOUS bootie, but this is ONLY MY OPINION, I don't KNOW it. When it gets up around 43, and the chart forms the cup and handle and the long stochastics look good and the Value Line says it looks OK, and IBD puts it above 85 or 90, etc. etc. etc., the "regular folks" will hop on, (and they will do well, too.) But I think the "average" analyst will need to see one or two more quarters to really firm his decision up. I pulled the trigger at exactly the right time on ASND, but I ain't right all the time. Gettin' OUT at the right spot has been a much bigger problem for me than gettin' in at the right spot. I ain't the smartest dude in the whole world, but I can form an opinion, and that's my final filter. (This is why I like Jim Cramer, for example; he gets the data and he forms his opinion, and you KNOW what his opinion is. Some people on this thread call him a "jerk", but the man can form his own opinion, and without a good opinion, you are peein' off the front of the boat. Sometimes I like what he says, sometimes I don't. But I like HIM because he can form an opinion and he does well at it) Pickin' stocks is an art, not a science, and those that don't believe it will find out some day what I'm talkin' about.
Now a question for you, concerning netiquette: when I am off my machine for a day and get back on, I have some messages, let's say 5. Being an old f*rt and thinking that I should always answer my mail, I answer these messages. They all show up at the same time right in the middle of somebody else's conversation. Which could annoy me if I were them. Is it OK not to answer posts? How do you (you) decide which to ignore, (if you do.)
thanks, pete
