>>...I would be astonished if Aipn ever drills a hole without a JV.<<

The interesting thing here is the fact aipn has mentioned 1stQ or 2ndQ as drilling targets. From reading the most recent releases, I'm assuming that the co has moved away from 1stQ for drilling. But even so, 2ndQ is not far away. I'm guesstimating that aipn would need to start preparations for drilling selected site(s) immediately--getting a rig in place, and adding in a time buffer for weather/breakdowns/unforeseen problems, etc--to safely begin physical drilling 2ndQ.

If a JV is absolutley required for drilling to begin, do to aipn's cash position, then I would expect a partnership to be announced within the next 3-5 weeks. Note that even this Cohen who is following the stock has given a longer off projection for a possible JV.

Qdog could probably give an estimate as to the time required to get a rig on site and start up.

Problem here is the company is beginning to press on their own timelines which sounded good several months ago, but to meet them a great deal needs to happen now in a short time.

Regardless of how things turn out, this little stock is entertaining.
